Professor Julian Williams, Institute of Hazard, Risk and Resilience Executive Director and Professor in Accounting and Finance, recently attended the Financial Cryptography and Data Security conference in Grenada.

As a Visiting Scholar at Northwestern University in Chicago, Dr Carly Beckerman, Co-Director of the Institute of Hazard, Risk and Resilience, is working with colleagues at the forefront of AI and forecasting to generate a global risk assessment for terrorists’ use of drones.

The IHRR presents the Exploring Risk Film Festival on the 4th May 2022. The Festival is a celebration of science, story-telling and how to believe in a better world. The festival asks filmmakers to consider hazards to human life, society and wellbeing and how we might imagine a just, safe and sustainable future.
