The University has taken reasonable care to ensure that the information published on this website is accurate at the time of publication or last modification. However, the University gives no warranty or representation as to the quality, accuracy or completeness of the information. In particular, the University is not able to guarantee that it will continue or be accurate during a time of server failure.

The website is made available for public viewing on the basis that the University excludes to the fullest extent lawfully permitted all liability whatsoever for any loss or damage howsoever arising out of the use of this website or reliance upon the content of this website. No liability is excluded for personal injury or death resulting from the University's negligence or fraud or for any matter, which would be illegal to exclude liability or attempt to so exclude.

No Contractual Effect

The University's website is intended as a general guide to the University's courses and facilities and forms no part of any contract between you and the University. Enrolment at the University is subject to acceptance of the student enrolment conditions contained in the University's Handbook of Student Regulations.

On acceptance by an applicant of an offer of a place at the University, the relationship between the applicant and the University becomes contractual. On entering into that contract neither the student nor the University intends that any of the terms of the contract will be enforceable by virtue of the Contracts (Rights of Third Parties) Act 1999 by any person not a party to it.

Course Variations

The University makes all reasonable efforts to deliver the programmes of study and research opportunities and other services and facilities in the way described on this website.

However, the University shall be entitled, if it reasonably considers it to be necessary (including in order to manage its resources and pursue its policy of continuous improvement appropriately):

  1. To alter the timetable, location, the number of classes and method of delivery of programmes of study, provided such alterations are reasonable.
  2. To make reasonable variations to the content and syllabus of programmes of study (including in relation to placements).
  3. To suspend, discontinue or combine programmes of study (for example, because a key member of staff is unwell or leaves the University).
  4. To make changes to its statutes, ordinances, regulations, policies and procedures which the University reasonably considers necessary (for example, in the light of changes in the law or the requirements of the University's regulators). Such changes if significant will normally come into force at the beginning of the following academic year, and if fundamental to the programme will normally come into force with effect from the next cohort of students.
  5. Not to provide programmes of study or to combine them with others if the University reasonably considers this to be necessary (for example because too few students apply to join the programme for it to be viable).

Except in circumstances beyond its reasonable control, if the University discontinues or does not provide a programme of study or changes it significantly before it begins:

  1. The University will use its reasonable endeavours to tell relevant individuals at the earliest opportunity.
  2. The University will use its reasonable endeavours to offer to relevant individuals an alternative replacement programme at its earliest possible opportunity.

In the event that the relevant individual does not wish to accept the replacement programme and notifies the University in writing within a reasonable time of being informed of the change, the University will make an appropriate refund of tuition fees and deposits paid in accordance with the University's stated policy from time to time.

Frustration of Contract

In the event that the University is unable to deliver programmes of study, research opportunities and other services or facilities described in this website due to any cause beyond its reasonable control which will include, but not be limited to, any governmental action, civil and/or international commotion, fire, flood, war, labour disputes or act of God, the University shall not be liable to any person for any failure or delay in performing its obligations.

Variation of the Agreement

The University reserves the right to change the terms, conditions and notices under which this website is offered.

Jurisdiction
