Student Support and Wellbeing

University is often an exciting chapter of our lives and at Durham, we want every student to reach their full potential. So, whether you want to develop your academic skills or need help because you’re feeling overwhelmed, there is support available for you.

Each College and Department has a Student Support Team that provides proactive and reactive support. They can direct you to our wide range of specialist services, including mental wellbeing support services. Find out more below.

We take reports of bullying and harassment, hate incidents, sexual misconduct, domestic abuse and spiking seriously. The Report +Support online tool is for non-emergency reports and can be used to report to access support or anonymously.

  • Disability Support

    Disability Support offers advice and guidance to both prospective and current students within the University. We also arrange appropriate provision for disabled students, as well as offer support to those who think they may have a disability.

Nursery Facilities

Our University Nursery in Durham caters for children from 6 weeks to school age. It is open from 8:00am to 6:00pm Monday to Friday throughout the year.
