Four fully-funded PhD research Projects: Application of homo- and hetero-geneous catalysis for the preparation of sustainable aviation fuels from bio-renewable feedstocks (Durham University)
pplications are invited for four fully-funded PhD studentships (two 4-year and two 3.5-year positions) starting in late September 2025 based in Durham University’ Chemistry Department working towards the development of methods for the manufacture of sustainable aviation fuels (SAFs) from bio-renewable feedstocks. Successful candidates will work jointly across the research groups of Prof. Phil Dyer and Drs Simon Beaumont and Russell Taylor in the Department of Chemistry at Durham University and will work in close collaboration with our industrial partner Johnson Matthey.
