Durham University Clay Pigeon Club (DUCPC) offers social and competitive shooting for both the beginner and experienced shot. With weekly Wednesday shooting at Thimbleby, there is plenty of opportunity to get some lead in the air. From Brookes to St Andrews, DUCPC travel the country competing at other universities.
DUCPC boasts over 140 members, highlighting the importance of the social aspect of the sport. Outside of training, the team engages in pub quizzes, club dinners and hosts charity tournaments.
Durham now runs the largest university shooting competition in the country which sees hundreds of students from up and down the country descend on Durham for the Challenge, followed by the Tweed Ball.
