Our student sports clubs have achieved an all-time record for the University by winning 13 BUCS (British Universities and Colleges Sport) national championships this season.

Alumna Lauren Irwin has been announced as part of Team GB’s 42-member rowing squad for the 2024 Paris Olympic Games this summer.

Sport, Exercise and Physical Activity undergraduate Max Pepper was part of the 23-player squad selected to face France Universities at Coventry Rugby Club on Saturday 4 May.

It is not just within British Universities and College Sport that Team Durham students shine bright! We are beyond thrilled to continuously attract elite sporting individual to Durham University. The students hard work and dedication both on and off the sports fields has been recognised on an international stage, with many students representing their countries during 2023 Summer period.

Durham University Boat Club (DUBC) compete in the prestigious Henley Royal Regatta 2023. Sensational performances on the water saw DUBC break records across the men's, women's and development squad throughout the week.
