There are increasing opportunities for Durham University academics to use their disciplinary expertise in multidisciplinary contexts with wider interest developing in research that crosses traditional boundaries, combines several perspectives or methods, solves problems that remain intractable within a single discipline, or even fosters new disciplines. Such work is both demanding and rewarding, and is the heart of our approach here at the Wolfson Research Institute for Health and Wellbeing.
