IHRR Hanna Ruszczyk Co-I in 2023 Urban Studies seminar series grant awarded for ‘Overlooked Cities: Thinking and doing global urban studies differently: ordinary and overlooked cities in conversation’.
Isolde de Villiers (University of the Free State in Bloemfontein, South Africa), Yimin Zhao (Renmin University of China), Erwin Nugraha (Resilience Development Initiative, Indonesia), Julia Wesely (University of Natural Resources and Life Sciences, Austria) and Hanna Ruszczyk (Institute of Hazard, Risk and Resilience, IHRR, Durham University) won an Urban Studies seminar series grant titled ‘Overlooked Cities: Thinking and doing global urban studies differently: ordinary and overlooked cities in conversation’.
The first of three workshops will be held 6-8 September 2023 in Bandung, Indonesia, the second will be held 16-17 October 2023 in Bloemfontein, South Africa, and the third workshop will be held in Durham in early 2024.
