[11/24] Dr Harries was invited to speak about hotspot analysis at a workshop on cascading hazard research and related risk management
Dr Rebekah Harries, Post Doctoral Research Associate at the Institute of Hazard, Risk and Resilience (IHRR) at Durham University, was invited to reflect on hotspot analysis in cascading hazard research and related risk management, at the Cascading Hydrogeomorphic Hazards workshop (CasHaz2024). This two-day workshop took place at the University of Bern, in Switzerland, and was supported by the Swiss National Science Foundation (SNSF).
Dr Harries spoke about her collaborative research on catastrophic sediment transport events in Chile that has developed from a Sediment Cascades and Climate Change workshop earlier this year. There were speakers from a wide range of countries including the UK, Switzerland, Germany, Austria, Italy and Israel.
