The Institute for Hazard, Risk, and Resilience (IHRR) was delighted to welcome Dr. Ashutosh Kumar, Assistant Professor at the School of Civil and Environmental Engineering, IIT Mandi, India, for a collaborative week of research

The Institute for Hazard, Risk, and Resilience (IHRR) was thrilled to host Dr. Ashutosh Kumar for a week of intensive collaborative research. During his visit, Dr. Kumar worked closely with our Postdoctoral Research Associate (PDRA), Dr. Ellen Robson, and IHRR's Co-director, Professor David Toll. This collaboration centers around the LIFE Project: Landslide Impact on Family & Environment.

This groundbreaking research initiative aims to examine the devastating effects of the unprecedented monsoonal rainfall of 2023, which triggered widespread landslides and caused significant disruption to communities and ecosystems.
