The Institute of Hazard, Risk and Resilience (IHRR) is pleased to present the Picture of Risk photography exhibition, a Durham University Global Week Event!
Tetrapod coastal protection in Hernani, Philippines (Bruce Malamud).
Through January 2024, photographers from Durham University and beyond were invited to submit their photographs that tell a story of disaster risk and/or its constituent parts (hazards, vulnerability and exposure), alongside a short text along describing the intended narrative of the photograph and any creative choices that were made to achieve this.
The Picture of Risk photography exhibition will showcase the top 20 entries that were received and will run in advance of the Exploring Risk Film Festival 2024 (27th February 2024)!
When: 07th to 27th February 2024
Where: First floor landing of the Teaching and Learning Centre (Durham University) AND online via the Picture of Risk website.
