Discover Durham Tours are a great way to see Durham, both the city and the university.
The tour begins at one of our undergraduate colleges, where you will receive an introductory talk from a member of college staff, followed by a tour of the college by current students. As our tours are during term time it may not always be possible to show you a student room as they are occupied. Durham Student Ambassadors (DSA) will then show you the main University site taking in some of the sights of the city.
The event as a whole is expected to last between 2.5 - 3 hours. It will involve quite a lot of walking so please wear comfortable footwear. Durham is a hilly city so please be aware of this when booking. If you have any mobility or accessibility requirements, please complete this section on the booking form and we will work to make all adjustments that we can.
Please note that these tours are not guaranteed to involve indoor tours of Department buildings and colleges other than the designated booked college and will not include meeting academic staff.
