The IAS Fellowship has had a profound impact intellectually as well as professionally on me. I could connect to the very vibrant interdisciplinary intellectual energy of the IAS through conversations with other fellows and colleagues, discovering new fields of research as well as acquiring a more rounded understanding of my own academic area of Memory Studies. The internationality and interdisciplinarity of the IAS have played very vital and valuable roles in contributing to my intellectual growth and I can safely state that the Fellowship has had a positive impact on my thinking and research.
It was a particularly rare joy to have the space and the freedom to engage with the other fellows, to go to their lectures and seminars, to spend time with them socially. It reinvigorated my enthusiasm for the academic career and nourished my intellectual curiosities, for which I am extremely grateful.
