From Monday 18 September, there will some changes to locations of bookable study spaces in Bill Bryson Library.

We offer a mixture of bookable and non-bookable study spaces in the Library. Our bookable study spaces allow you to plan ahead and guarantee a study space for a certain amount of time.

Following a review of the service and feedback from our users, we are making it easier for you to find our bookable spaces, and to know which areas to use if you haven’t booked a space. You can visit our Space Booking system guide for more information.

Where are the bookable spaces in the Library?

The following areas are bookable study spaces. You can download a copy of our floor maps to see where these areas are – these maps are also displayed throughout the building.

Quiet, individual study
- Level 3 North, South and West Wings

Silent study
- Level 1 West Wing

PCs and docking stations
- Level 1 and Level 3 West Wing

Postgraduate Research students (Kepier Room)
- Level 4 South Wing

Study rooms (individual, group and Disability Support)
- across all floors

These are the only bookable study spaces in the building – you don’t need to pre-book to use any other spaces in the Library. Please only sit in the bookable areas if you have pre-booked your space.
