No longer accepting applications for the 2025 round
This funding call usually opens in January and closes in February of each year, however, the Department of Sociology will set an earlier internal deadline to manage the application process.
*Expressions of Interest*
The Department of Sociology invites expressions of interest from outstanding candidates who wish to apply for a Leverhulme Early Career Fellowship through Durham University.
We welcome enquiries from eligible candidates particularly those related to the Research Themes or associated Research Centres in the department.
Candidates are required to have sought the support of a prospective academic mentor in the department and have supplied them with an up-to-date CV and 2-page (max) draft research proposal prior to submitting a full draft application. Working in conjunction with their mentor, candidates should check their eligibility to apply.

Please submit your draft application (please request an internal template application form from sociology.research@durham.ac.uk,), CV, and the name of your academic mentor to sociology.research@durham.ac.uk by TBC
