Celebrate 60 years of Ustinov College in 2025!

As Ustinov College enters its 60th year, it is a vibrant, international and welcoming scholarly community supporting academic excellence, and is the place for postgraduate students to call home.

As we celebrate 60 years we have a whole host of events for you to get involved with. From nostalgic trips down memory lane to inspiring stories shared by our distinguished alumni, there's something for everyone. Don't miss this chance to reconnect and celebrate our vibrant community!

Our celebration events

  • July 18: Friday formal

    The celebrations began in style on Friday 18 July with a formal dinner, hosted at Durham Castle
    University College Great Hall set for dinner

  • July 19: Ustinov Day

    Ustinov Day, also known as Postgraduate Day will be held at Howlands Farm. Come along for lots of family fun and activities.

  • July 20: Sculpture unveiling

    We are so proud of the special sculptures produced for our 50th anniversary, we are planning a sculpture to commemorate our 60th.
