Second hand clothing sale, 20 November 2024

Opting for second-hand clothing extends the life of items that have already been manufactured, avoiding the use of new and finite natural resources.  Research suggests that extending the average life of clothes by just three months per item, for example from 2 years and 2 months to 2 years and 5 months, would lead to a 10% reduction in each of the carbon, water and waste footprints of that item!

Can't find anything at our clothing sale? Then visit one of Durham's charity shops or use apps such as Vinted, Depop or eBay to upgrade your wardrobe.
