Durham University utilises data for equality and diversity and inclusion in the following areas:

  • identification of disparities in student recruitment, ensuring informed decisions are made towards achieving equality in gender, under-represented groups and targets within our Access & Participation Plan
  • utilising data to shape our recruitment practice of students and staff
  • monitoring and tracking the application and entry rates of women, to ensure progress in the United Nations SDG 5 Gender Equality is achieved
  • informing equality across student and staff data reporting and governance
