Our Access and Participation Plan 2025/26 to 2028/29 has been approved by the Office for Students. This will take effect on 1 September 2025, though a great deal of activity was delivered from 2024 onward.
Students are covered by the plan in place at the time they started their studies. That plan applies throughout their studies, even if we have introduced new plans in later years. The most recent plans are known as ‘access and participation plans’ or ‘APPs’. These plans have been approved by the Office for Students. Before this, universities instead had “Access Agreements”. Those agreements were approved by the Office for Fair Access (OFFA). You can see Durham’s current and previous APPs and Access Agreements below.
