Rosa Furneaux has been awarded the 2024 Sir Harry Evans Global Fellowship in Investigative Journalism, a landmark partnership among Reuters, Durham University and Tina Brown CBE, award-winning journalist and widow of acclaimed newspaper editor Sir Harry Evans.

Emma McCabe delivers Lonsdale Prize winning lecture at the British Crystallographic Association (BCA)'s spring meeting.
The Lonsdale Lecture Prize is awarded annually by the early-stage crystallography group (ESCG) of the British Crystallographic Association in memory of Dame Kathleen Lonsdale. Dr Emma McCabe (Durham condensed matter physics) was honoured to be awarded this prize at the BCA spring meeting 2025.

Huge congratulations to Ella Merefield and Sophie Ewin on being awarded a 12-week funded internship in Canada, during the summer of 2023. The internship is funded by the Mitacs Internship Program. Ella will be supporting research at the University of Winnipeg and Sophie will be at the University of Regina.
