Congratulations on your offer to study with us in Engineering at Durham. Entry onto this programme is extremely competitive and holding an offer is a great achievement. If you accept, you have a great time ahead of you in a really friendly department.  

You are studying a subject vital to many of the global challenges we face in coming decades and to ensure the highest relevance our engineering MScs are delivered by world-class engineering experts across the engineering disciplines, who are constantly striving to update content to prepare our graduates for the world outside.  

As an MSc student you will be working with us, with each other in teams for projects and design, and with our outstanding undergraduate students for some courses. We are also a highly regarded department for engineering in the UK, ranked 5th in the Complete University Guide 2023 and 5th in the Guardian University Guide 2024.
