Run in partnership with the British Film Institute (BFI) and hosted by Prof. Jonathan Long and Prof. Santiago Fouz Hernández at our School of Modern Languages and Cultures, BFI Careers Week offers range of presentations from professionals working across the film and television industry. For the fourth year in a row, the BFI have curated a series of talks that allow students to explore key roles within the UK film and television industry and provide detailed insights into the variety of graduate opportunities available within the sector.

With 20 new studio spaces in the pipeline nationwide, there has never been a better time to work in the industry and interest is at an all-time high. These presentations cover a variety of roles: from production, editing and casting, to cinematography, directing, and sales, these talks are designed to share understanding and information on all avenues within the sector, and how students looking to join can take that first step.

For students interested in attending any of these talks, further details can be found here, on our Careers & Enterprise Hub.

If you feel your organisation could add to this schedule with employability skills development, insights or opportunities please get in touch at careers.events@durham.ac.uk.
