Biography
Rosalind is an educator and leader in academic and researcher development, with expertise and research interests in inclusive doctoral education, professional learning for educators and researchers – around mentoring and reflective practice, digital education, and education for sustainable development. Her contributions to higher education have received institutional and national recognition, including being recognised as a Senior Fellow of the Higher Education Academy.
After gaining a BSc (Hons) in Geography and a Diploma in Teaching English to Adults (DELTA), Rosalind has worked in private education, FE and HE contexts. She completed an MA in Education Research in 2017 at Newcastle University. She enjoys exploring different disciplinary perspectives and working creatively across contexts. Her scholarly work combines pragmatism and dialogic learning to inform her own practice and those of others in higher education. In other words, she seeks ways of supporting those working in higher education and research to become more confident and effective in what they do, and to realise their potential.
Rosalind joined the IAS in September 2024 to lead the development of educational provision around interdisciplinary research.
