Biography
I am a Leverhulme Early Career Fellow working on the relationship between social tolerance and social learning in humans, chimpanzees, and vervet monkeys. My research involves observational and experimental measures of social tolerance in both captive and wild non-human primates, and experimental measures of social learning.
I received my PhD in Psychology from the University of St Andrews in 2018, supervised by Prof. Andy Whiten. From 2019 - 2023, I worked as a postdoctoral researcher in Prof. Erica van de Waal's group (University of Lausanne), studying social learning strategies in humans, before undertaking a one-year postdoctoral research role with Prof. Thibaud Gruber (University of Geneva), studying the relationship between emotional interactions and social learning in children.
