The Early Islamic Archaeology of the Dammam region in the Eastern Province of Saudi Arabia

I am interested in investigating the eastern Arabian region, and more detailed archaeological fieldwork is expected to take place around Dammam. The research period will be roughly a century before the rise of Islam (mid-6th century) to the middle of the 10th century. However, these dates are subject to change depending on the quantity of evidence that becomes available.
