Staff profile

Dr Kat Lovell is an Assistant Professor in Engineering Management in the Department of Engineering, Durham University. Building on her undergraduate training in Engineering, completing an M.Eng at the Institute for Manufacturing, University of Cambridge, Kat has gone on to research social science of engineering within the fields of Innovation Studies and Sustainability Transitions. Following her PhD in Innovation Studies (Imperial College Business School), she has spent 10 years as a researcher in the Science Policy Research Unit (SPRU, University of Sussex). Her research focuses on innovation and transformations for sustainability in engineering-intensive industries.
