Biography
Katherine is the founder of UK Feminista, a national charitable organisation that supports individuals and organisations to take action for equality between women and men. She is the author of two books on women’s equality: The Equality Illusion: The Truth About Women and Men Today (2010) and Pimp State: Sex, Money and the Future of Equality (2016). Katherine has a Masters in Politics (Distinction) from the University of Sheffield.
Current Research
Katherine is conducting research on online sex trafficking and legal and law enforcement responses to this crime. The research will analyse the role that online platforms play in the facilitation and organisation of trafficking for sexual exploitation. It will also assess the efficacy of domestic and international responses to this form of serious and organised crime. Katherine’s research is supervised by Dr Hannah Bows and Professor Clare McGlynn QC (Hon).
