Biography
Hillary is a PhD student in the Department of Sport and Exercise Sciences at Durham University, funded through the Durham Sport and Exercise Doctoral Studentship. She holds a bachelor’s degree in psychology and criminology from Monash University and a Master’s degree in Social and Psychological Research from the University of the Witwatersrand, Johannesburg.

Research
Hillary’s doctoral research explores how technology can be leveraged to connect individuals in low- and middle-income countries (LMICs) to essential health resources. Her work focuses on patients with, or at risk of developing, hypertension, aiming to improve access to prevention and management strategies. Specifically, she investigates how digital interventions can promote physical activity and support self-management in resource-constrained settings.
