Biography
Bailey Forbes started his PhD ‘Investigating the impact of the mechanical code of the genome on protein: DNA interactions’ at the Dept. of Biosciences, Durham University in September 2022.
Prior to this he obtained a BSc (hons) and MSc in Biological Science from the University of Aberdeen. His research at Aberdeen analysed the ‘Genetic differences in marine species across ocean depth’ and the genetic adaptations linked to how species can survive the high hydrostatic pressures at the bottom of the Mariana Trench, western Pacific Ocean. Bailey is also a keen sports person both training and competing for the athletics and water polo clubs at Durham University.
