Biography

I graduated with a Msc in Biochemisitry from Warwick University in 2023, where I researched metabolic mechanisms in marine bacteria. I started my PhD in the Heddle lab in Durham in 2024, funded by the Leverhulme Trust. My aim here is to utilise DNA nanotechnology and artificial motors to design and synthesise a motile, self-propelled DNA submarine.

I am interested in synthetic biology, biomolecular interactions, cellular mechanisms, and molecular machines. Primarily my focus is on how these can be utilised in biotechnology to build functional micro and nanomachines that may have further use in environmental and medicinal fields.
