Launched in 2018, our web platform, The Polyphony, aims to stimulate, catalyse, provoke, expand and intensify conversations in the critical medical humanities.
Under the direction of our Director, Dr Angela Woods, our team of editors, regular columnists and guest contributors make this a truly collaborative and multi-voiced endeavour and one to which all scholars, practitioners, activists and stakeholders of the critical medical humanities are invited to contribute.
The site posts original essays, creative pieces and reviews of all kinds, including reviews of books, conferences, exhibitions and performances. It is particularly welcoming for first-time writers and early career researchers. In addition, all posts are published under a Creative Commons license and have been reported around the world.
The Polyphony is a relaunch and reinvention of the Centre for Medical Humanities blog, which served the field from 2010 to 2018.
