A warm welcome to Joyanne Chan, who joins the Institute for Medical Humanities as a Communications Intern.
Joyanne is studying for her master's degree in English Literary Studies at Durham University. Her research interests lie in the connections between cognitive science, affect, the body and literature, and is writing a dissertation on the philosophy of neuroscientist and literary scholar Iain McGilchrist.
Outside of her academic interests, she loves theatre and enjoys making illustrations.
She is delighted to be joining the IMH team as a Communications Intern and is looking forward to the opportunity to learn from everyone at the Institute.
