A case study written by IMH researcher Dr Louise Creechan on creative engagement and working with partners has been published today by Being Human.

The article was inspired by Louise’s experiences during the delivery of 'Rhythm of Life: A Research Cabaret', which took place as part of the 2023 Being Human Festival. The cabaret brought together IMH researchers, local performers, people with lived experience, and collaborators from RT Projects (a mental health charity in Durham) to reflect on the nature of ‘reason’ within health via ten-minute performances.

Offering advice on how to plan a creative and engaging event, Louise also outlines how she and co-organiser Mary Robson (IMH’s Senior Creative Facilitator) developed a partnership with RT Projects and the unique contributions that both sides made to the research cabaret.

This next research cabaret will explore the theme of 'Landmarking' and will take place in Durham on 12 November 2024.
