Announcing a collection of articles on interdisciplinary entanglements in the medical humanities in The Lancet.
The IMH is delighted to see the publication of a series of essays written by our researchers in The Lancet's 'Art of Medicine'.
Edited by Charles Fernyhough, the articles celebrate a vibrant cross-section of work in medical humanities challenging assumptions about how the 'normal' should be distinguished from the 'pathological' and celebrate 'interdisciplinary entanglements' among researchers from different backgrounds and real world areas of expertise.
The articles include:
Charles Fernyhough, 'Entanglements in the medical humanities'Veronica Heney, 'Storying self-harm'Fiona Johnstone, 'Picture an epidemic: contemporary culture and HIV'Fraser Riddell, 'Sounding out the history of homosexuality'Ruben E Verwaal, 'Rendering deafness visible'
We hope you enjoy reading the articles in this collection. Congratulations to all the authors on these publications!
