David Petts

David has a research interest in the early medieval world, particularly the emergence and consolidation of monasticism in Britain, and more widely in life and society in Central Britain. He also works widely across the post-medieval and modern period from an archaeological perspective. A common thread running through much of his research is working with local communities to better understand their heritage, and in particular finding ways of recording and monitoring aspects of their local history that might be threatened.
