A group of lawyers and academics at CARICOM Grenada Workshop

The Durham Law School and CSDLP are glad to be involved in the work of the Caribbean States on their submissions to the International Court of Justice, in the advisory proceedings concerning the obligations of States in relation to climate change.

Professor Petra Minnerop attended an "ICJ Submission Writeshop" organised by the government of Grenada to consider legal arguments for the submission of Small Island Developing to the International Court of Justice (ICJ). The submission of Carribean States forms part of a global coalition, led by the Republic of Vanuatu, requesting the ICJ for an advisory opinion to clarify the legal obligation of States related to climate change.
