We support all forms of research activity on contemporary Chinese studies, and China's interactions internationally, with special reference to East Asia.
With 13 members across a number of disciplines in the arts, social sciences and sciences at Durham University, CCCS strongly welcomes collaborative research activities on China and East Asia amongst academic workers in the global research communities. The Centre for Contemporary Chinese Studies at Durham has a long tradition of welcoming visiting scholars who wish to research on China and East Asia in the UK.
CCCS members have supervised PhD students around the world who wish to train in Chinese Studies and East Asian Studies.
East Asia: An International Quarterly has been edited in our School of Government and International Affairs since 2004. It has more than 37 years of history and is currently published by Springer.
