Subcontracting

The University is committed to delivering high quality Apprenticeships that meet the needs of Apprentices, employers and the wider labour market. In most cases, all the delivery of the Apprenticeship will be carried out by the University however in some limited instances the University works with a third party who would support our delivery with the provision of selected services within the Apprenticeship.

Employer Complaints

The University seeks to provide a positive apprenticeship experience that fosters a culture of partnership and support with each apprentice and their employer.  It ensures that the apprentice and employer voice is included in everything we do.   However, it recognises that there may be occasions where the level of service provided falls short of the standard that might reasonably be expected, and that this in turn may lead to an apprentice or employer being dissatisfied. Employers should make their concerns known and if this is not resolved in a satisfactory manner, they may then pursue a complaint.  Please see Employer Complaints Process for Apprenticeships for more information.

Apprentices have their own separate student complaints policy which can be accessed here https://www.durham.ac.uk/colleges-and-student-experience/student-support-and-wellbeing/student-conduct/student-complaints/
