We are delighted to announce 100 Postgraduate Support Scholarships to support eligible UK students from low and middle income backgrounds who apply for postgraduate study starting in September 2025.
You can apply for our Postgraduate Support Scholarships if you study most of our taught master’s and MRes programmes with only a few exceptions*.
The scholarships will consist of £3,000 per year for taught programmes or £2,000 per year for MRes programmes, in addition to our Alumni Fee Scholarship which can be held at the same time as our Postgraduate Support Scholarship.
If you hold a bachelor's or higher degree with us, you will automatically be eligible for our alumni discount and do not need to apply separately.
*Exceptions: postgraduate diplomas, postgraduate certificates, integrated masters and courses funded by other public bodies (e.g. PGCE).
Please note the Postgraduate Student Support Scholarship cannot be held with any other Durham University scholarship except the Alumni Fee Scholarship if eligible.
