County Durham Pound, a regional partnership of which we’re part, has been announced as winner of the Best Public Sector Project award at the 2023 Social Value Conference.
The award, for a public sector organisation that has commissioned or procured a single project or framework and maximised the delivery of social value, was announced at a ceremony in London.
The County Durham Pound project involves several partner organisations committed to working together to maximise social, economic and environmental value throughout the county. We’re one of 12 companies who have committed their support to this project through creating more jobs for local people, reducing the county's impact on the environment, and supporting meaningful training and upskilling.

The project has allowed us to learn from partners’ experiences and take a joined-up approach to social value in our supply chain.
The Social Value Conference is the leading not-for-profit Social Value event, bringing together experts and practitioners from the public, private and third sectors. The goal of the conference was to facilitate sharing best practices and innovative ideas for Social Value and discuss how organisations across sectors can do ‘good business’.
