Our Celebrate Science festival which took place during the half-term holiday on 25 - 27 October, was a resounding success after welcoming over 6,000 visitors into the marquee across three days.
Last week saw the return of our annual three-day Celebrate Science festival since 2019 during the half-term holiday on 25 – 27 October, which was a resounding success after welcoming over 6,000 visitors into the marquee and receiving wonderful feedback.
Each year the festival celebrates Durham University’s latest research with our local community which brings together a wide range of fun science-themed activities, workshops, experiments, and lectures.
This year, over 150 staff and student volunteers from departments across the University with support from 6 external organisations and science ambassadors from 5 local secondary schools.
