The organisers are delighted to have the support of the British Film Institute (BFI). Philip Ilson, Artistic Director of the London Short Film Festival and short film programmer for the BFI London Film Festival, will be judging the 15 films chosen for the Official Selection.
Amy Ware, a student at Durham University and Director of Durham Film Festival explained; “Our aim for the festival is to celebrate North East talent and provide a space for student film-makers to shine after the restrictions of the pandemic. We are also welcoming entries from around the world so that we can appreciate a variety of international short films here in Durham.”
In addition to the film screenings, the festival will also include a series of talks, workshops and events to explore and celebrate film making.
