Be prepared to be whisked around the world and beyond in a vibrant mix of movie and musical soundtracks in DUCB's first concert of the year. From the African savannahs of ‘The Lion King’ and the magical creature-filled skies of ‘How to Train Your Dragon’, to the jubilant yellow brick roads of ‘The Wizard of Oz’ and the heroic motifs of ‘Gladiator’. This concert isn’t one to miss.
Durham University Concert Band
Durham University Concert Band is a woodwind, brass and percussion ensemble with a wide repertoire from wind band classics and film music to orchestral arrangements and jazz.
As a non-auditioned society, it aims to create a relaxed, friendly and welcoming environment, whilst still playing to an excellent standard. The band recently competed at the National Concert Band Festival in Manchester and received a Gold Award.
