‘The Collegiate Way – Living and Learning for the Future’ returns to Durham 2-5 Dec 2025 – register your interest now
Together with presentations and panel discussions, there will be opportunities to meet college students and staff in the delegate's affiliated college and to experience college activities.
2 Dec – arrivals, registration, evening networking and welcome dinner
3-5 Dec – full conference days with evening events, ending with Gala dinner on 5 Dec in the medieval Great Hall at University College in Durham Castle
Opening keynote address (3 Dec): Professor David Wilkinson – astrophysicist, theologian and Principal of St John’s College, Durham 2006-2023
The programme will also include the opportunity to meet students and staff in the delegate’s affiliated college and to attend a Formal college dinner.
Other activities include the opportunity to experience the colleges’ sporting, volunteering and performing arts activities.
All those who have registered their interest in attending will be notified when submission is open.
Contributions in the form of presentations, panel discussions etc are welcome. Themes may include the value of collegiate systems in 21st century, supporting wider student development, student support and welfare, connecting and engaging alumni, freedom of speech and learning to disagree well, developing leaders and team players, meeting challenges in a fast-changing world, facilitating broad scholarship and reflective, independent thinking, developing good citizens, and more beyond.
