Celebrate Science, Durham’s annual FREE family festival is back for 2024!
Celebrate Science is run by our Science Engagement team, along with over 200 staff and student volunteers from departments across the University, and partners from local schools and industry. The Celebrate Science marquee is packed full of free activities and experiments that are perfect for all the family.
Explore the wonders of our universe and join astronomers on a journey to outer space, with stories about the constellations and fascinating facts about stars, planets and what you can see in the sky tonight. Carry out amazing experiments and engage in hands-on activities with a little help from teams of Science Ambassadors from some of our local schools.
