Term dates - universities in Australia operate on a different calendar to the UK:

  • August to November and February to June

Nomination (by DU) deadlines:

  • Semester 2: (July-November): 30 March
  • Semester 1 (Feb-June): 15 October

Application deadlines (once allocated a Global Opportunities place):

  • Semester 2: (July-November): 15 April
  • Semester 1 (Feb-June): 30 October

Academic Information

Information on courses available to exchange students can be found in the UWA Handbook. All students should enrol in 24 credits per semester and most units are worth 6 credits. For further information, please refer to the Study Abroad webpage.

Requirements/Restrictions

Students may apply for any unit which is part of a standard course of study except for units within the Faculty of Medicine and Dentistry.

Language Requirements

The language of instruction at UWA is English. If you are a non native English speaker, you may be required to provide evidence of language ability.

Accommodation

It is an Australian Government requirement that all international students must have health insurance, known as Overseas Student Health Cover (OSHC), from an approved Australian provider. This is compulsory and costs around A$438.
