Programme Information

Academic requirements:

  • CGPA above 3.0 out of 4.3
  • English proficiency (for non-native students)
    • IELTS Academic 6.0 or above. A letter of proficiency issues by the home institution is also accepted.

Courses:

Students can find information on the courses that were provided in previous semesters here: Information on Courses Offered (postech.ac.kr). Exchange students will register for courses on POVIS which will be allocated on a first come first served basis

Credits: Students must enrol in the standard full time course load. At POSTECH this is 15 credits per semester.

Language Requirements

POSTECH is a bilingual campus with 5-60% of courses taught in English.

Accommodation

On-campus housing is guaranteed for exchange students in POSTECH unless chosen otherwise. the Housing fee must be paid to Housing Services within the first week of the semester.

Insurance: 

All international students in Korea will be automatically registered to the National Health Insurance Service, effective from the date of their Alien Registration. Exchange students will receive monthly invoices by post, and the cost will be approx. 70,000 KRW per month. Find out more about insurance requirements here.
