Accommodation

On-campus housing is open for application but not guaranteed to all exchange students. Please specify your preference in the application form.

If you do not want to apply for on-campus housing, please arrange your own accommodation off-campus: National Taiwan University Office of International Affairs Off-campus Accommodation (ntu.edu.tw) .

NTU regularly organizes host family experience activities to help international students integrate more deeply into Taiwanese life and gain a better understanding of Taiwanese culture.

Application Documents:

  • Passport-sized photograph
  • Motivation letter/Statement of Purpose

  • Colour Photocopy of non-Taiwanese Passport

Requirements

  • GPA Requirement: National Taiwan University requires a minimum of 3.0 GPA on a 4.0 scale. 
  • Citizenship: You should hold a non-Taiwanese passport. Students of Taiwanese nationality alone are not eligible for the exchange program. Only students with dual citizenship, where one is of foreign origin, are eligible for the exchange program. 

Visa

Before you come to Taiwan, you should apply for a Resident or Visitor Visa from the Taiwan Diplomatic Mission in your residence country with the official admission letter issued by NTU. Please look up the Taiwan Diplomatic Mission  in your country of residence by visiting the Ministry of Foreign Affairs website: Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Republic of China (Taiwan)-East Asia and Pacific (mofa.gov.tw)
