After your nomination is confirmed, students will receive a link to apply to Korea University by email.

Fall semester application period: 1st April - 30th April (Korea Standard Time)

Programme Information

Students applying to Korea University must have a minimum GPA of 2.5 on a 4.0 scale.

Details about courses and modules available are updated on a yearly basis. Please find further information on the course registration page. Exchange students can take a maximum of 19 credits per semester. 1 credit is generally equivalent to 1 class hour per week.

The list of courses offered in English is updated and available online in January for spring semester and in July for fall semester.

Language Requirements

Students must be fluent in either Korean or English (evidence of language proficiency not required).

Accommodation

The on-campus accommodation has designated date to apply. Students will be informed the application dates when they receive the Admission package from Korea University.

There are also various off-campus housings where international students can stay per semester or year. Students can contact the off-campus manager and reserve their room.

Supporting Documents Required

  • Original Academic Transcript
  • Personal Statement (A4 one-page)
  • Copy of Valid Passport (Must be valid at least 3 months after your semester at KU ends)
  • Certificate of Health (Can be found in Application page) - Only the examination which is done within 3 months from the time of application for Student Exchange/Visiting Program is acceptable
  • Oath of Good Conduct (Can be found in Application page)
  • Official Bank Statement (will be required upon the acceptance notice) - For non-OECD country nationals, only the original copy by post can be accepted.
  • [For non-OECD country nationals only] an official Enrolment Certificate of the current home university with Apostille or Consular confirmation should be sent by post.
  • Health Insurance
  • G.P.A conversion certificate or certification letter signed by the home university coordinator

Insurance

All international students are required to submit a copy of private health insurance that covers entire stay in Korea after they have been admitted to Korea University. The deadline for its submission will be notified on application page and in Letter of Acceptance. Those who fail to do so will NOT be given the right to register any courses.
