Study Load

CUHK-Shenzhen uses a credit unit system. Criteria of assessment may include any one or a combination of the following: attendance, class work, written work, laboratory work, fieldwork, research papers, tests, examinations, and/or any other assessment.

The students shall take-

  • minimum: 9 units per term
  • maximum: 18 units per term

Admission Requirements

  • Undergraduate students should have completed at least two academic terms of university studies.
  • Grade point average (GPA) of at least 3.0 on a 4.0 scale (B average or above, or equivalent).
  • No prior study of the Chinese language or Chinese / Asian studies is required.

Accommodation

CUHK-Shenzhen adopts a collegiate system. Colleges are social communities with their own dormitories, dining halls, gyms, music studio, dance room and other facilities. All students will be assigned to different colleges so that students with different academic and cultural backgrounds will enjoy close interaction with teachers and grow up with peers at colleges. A tutor will be arranged in each floor and a warden in each block for caring students. On-campus accommodation is available to incoming exchange/visiting students but cannot be guaranteed due to limited capacities.
